Smartphone company Samsung Galaxy S10, which has suddenly sparked an interest in the cryptocurrency community, thanks to interesting features such as cryptocurrency wallet, blockchain, has announced a new feature.
News portal, CryptoNewsZ reported that the phone introduced six new DApps, namely: The Hunters – It is a game platform based on crypto, Berry Pick – It is a social media dApp platform which rewards active online users, MyCryptoHeroes – It is a gaming dApp powered by blockchain, X-Wallet – It is a decentralized wallet app by Pundi X that supports Ether, Bitcoin, as well as Binance Coin, Misetoktok – It is a dApp that offers pollution level and air quality monitoring in real-time and Syrup Table – It is a network for reviewing restaurants.
A news report further quoted a Samsung official as saying, “We will add a datab app to the Samsung Block Chain Wallet,” adding that the app will not be added on the same day, but will be added sequentially.
Earlier this year, the official portal for news related to Samsung said, as per some leaked images show that the Samsung Blockchain Keystore app running on the Galaxy S10. The report added, “this app is a ‘secure and convenient place for your cryptocurrency’” .
A Twitter user Ben Geskin had initially shared the images of the proof, which was later confirmed by Sammobile. The news portal said that, currently the wallet supports only Ethereum, but very soon it will add support for Bitcoin, Ethereum-derived token ERC20 and Bitcoin Cash, after the phone is officially launched.
Following the ‘leaked screenshots’ episode, in February, a Samsung company official said that the phone would have wallet functions for Ethereum, Bitcoin and two other less known tokens, namely COSMEE and Enjin. While COSMEE is a mobile-based beauty social media platform, Enjin is a cryptocurrency wallet that will be installed in Samsung Galaxy S10.
