Delta.Exchange is a cryptocurrency exchange platform built for the trading of derivatives on cryptocurrencies. This is a first of a kind of exchange in India which doesn’t facilitate buying or selling of coins but for traders who are looking to speculate the price of cryptocurrencies through derivates and also hedge their cryptocurrency exposure.
The platform currently offers futures on five cryptocurrencies that include BTC Futures, ETH Futures, XRP Futures, XLM Futures and BNB Futures all settled only in Bitcoin and no involvement of fiat currencies. The exchange doesn’t plan to involve fiat or payment gateways going forward. The contract size on the platform is as low as $1 and the main objective is to profit from the trading activity.
The platform offers a leverage of up to 20X and has a very low fee structure on every transaction. The exchange has implemented the concept of maker fee and taker fee and has a different fee structure for them. As per the exchange, the makers and takers, because makers add to liquidity and takers are the consumer of liquidity.
In order to develop a deeper order book, the exchange incentivises makers in which it shares the fee received from takers. Below is the snapshot of fee structure offered to its users.
In terms of security, the exchange has best-in-class encryption and uses the same wallet service as used by top global exchanges and employ multi-sig wallets to make the wallet more secure. It also has a secondary layer of security which is whitelisting addresses which help to keep funds secure in the wallet.
Apart from the host of security features and one of a kind of exchange in India, Delta.Exchange is backed by strong founding members who have a strong knowledge and experience of financial markets, technology and building fintech startups.
Its Founders are Pankaj Balani, Jitendra Tokas and Sourabh Goyal who all are experienced personnel in the financial market and has experience in working with some of the top MNCs in the world. Its CTO, Sourabh Goyal is a well-known name in the entrepreneurial circuit who has co-founded Housing.com and TinyOwl. The exchange has roped in Jitendra Gupta, MD of Payu and founder of Citrus Pay as Advisor.
Its future plan is to include the futures market for stablecoin Tether (USDT) which will be a big achievement from the exchange as it is not available on any other major global platform.
