XRP, the third most popular cryptocurrency, after Bitcoin and Ethereum has been quietly gaining steam. After being ridiculed extensively, the currency has seen its own share of tangible success.
According to a few news reports, Wietse Wind the lead of Ripple-backed XRPL Labs, is all set to lend support to a project that will involve enabling XRP payments via Microsoft Outlook. News portal Oracle Times, reported that an independent developer, SchlaubiD is integrating the XRP Tip Bot’s API into the mainstream email app as an add-on. This will allow XRP users to send the cryptocurrency to anyone they please, using Outlook.
MoneyMessage is the the AddIn for Microsoft Outlook. The official page of the plugin says, “MoneyMessage is an AddIn for Microsoft Outlook which allows you to append money in form of XRP (Cryptocurrency) and send it to any mail receiver. A receiver doesn’t need an account or knowledge about Cryptocurrencies. The amount will be deposited in XRPTipBot witch allows your receiver to withdraw at any time. MoneyMessage has a strong focus on applications that simplify day-to-day work. People should not have to worry about technical implementations.”
Recently, XRP was in the news when Coinbase added XRP to its platforms, and then Trust Wallet, a crypto wallet owned and operated by Binance, followed suits by announcing its support for XRP. The support was announced last week and according to the announcement, it’s a move in the direction of adding support for top 20 cryptocurrencies.
