Blockchain-based network TRON will soon upgrade to a Mainnet version, according to its official blogpost. The Mainnet, called Odyssey V3.6, will realize a more lightweight built-in event server with added protocol data check.
The blogpost stated that the network aimed to an entertainment for creating entertainment-based decentralized applications (DApps).
There are a few new features that have been incorporated in the new version. Some of them include, new instructions added for the Tron Virtual Machine (TVM), including create2, bitwise shifting, and extcodehash, supporting more new features, implement a more lightweight built-in event server, providing convenience for DApp developers to customize their own event service when they choose to switch on this feature, adding transaction permission settings for users, compatible with multi-signature, among others.
The TVM was launched last year in August, as earlier reported by Crypto-News India. At the time we had reported that the launch of TVM would make TRON network even more capable of handling a large number of transactions, and it will also open the way for developers to migrate their apps from Ethereum to TRON. It will facilitate development of TRON compatible dApps as developers won’t have to learn entirely new language(s) for developing apps that work over TRON network.
The Tron blogpost stated that the TRON public chain enjoys a transaction per second (TPS) of tens of thousands, and maximizes user engagement to its ecosystem with free access and strong incentives. Developers can use the TRON Protocol and the TVM to develop applications both for themselves and the community.
It further said, “We would like to thank all for your continuous support for TRON, and give a big thanks to our developers for their hard work around the clock, which allows TRON’s ecosystem to continue to grow with rapid development. Let’s look forward to Odyssey-V3.6 presented to you by the world’s largest blockchain decentralized application operating system!”
