Blockchain company Ripple has launched an advertising campaign in Europe to boost the use case of its global financial products, such as xRapid. The advertisement is currently being shown in the United States and Japan- which are one of the biggest markets for cross border payments and remittances.
According to news portal, Invest in Blockchain, the fact that Ripple is running an advertisement campaign is huge, because so far no other cryptocurrency has been able to track spending or Return on Investment (ROI), so far.
For all the negative publicity Ripple has received in the past one year, it is commendable to see that the company has gone from strength to strength. Last week, the company onboarded a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, Ria Money Transfer, to process blockchain-powered payments.
At the time, Juan Bianchi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Euronet’s Money Transfer Segment had said, “At Ria we have developed the second largest Money Transfer network in the world along with a best-in-class compliance program all connected by our proprietary technology. Ria’s integration with Ripple serves to build rails for an innovative payment infrastructure that seeks to provide easier access to potential partners, while delivering faster and cleaner payments to its users. Time is a vital currency for our customers and partners, so we always keep it at the center of our innovation efforts.”
In April this year, closer home, Federal Bank of India tied up with Ripple for cross-border payments. At the time, Federal Bank MD and CEO Shyam Srinivasan had said, “This is to inform Federal Bank has entered into a partnership with Ripple Inc, a blockchain supported global remittance company, for cross border remittance through its network. Powered by blockchain-enabled solution, the Ripple platform ensures cross-border transactions much safer and secured.”
