As the pressure mounts, to delist Craig Wright’s Bitcoin Cash Satoshi Vision (BCHSV) from cryptocurrency exchanges from around the world, OKEx has announced that it will not do so. Earlier today, we had reported that Binance had already announced that it was delisting the token.

In a tweet, the exchange said, “Considering that Bitcoin SV (BSV) has been delisted from several exchanges recently, OKEx has conducted a rigorous review on BSV in terms of technology development, liquidity, and compliance.”

It further explained, “According to the OKEx Token Delisting and Hiding Guideline (https://support.okex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011875732-OKEx-Token-Delisting-Hiding-Guideline …), BSV currently does not meet our delisting criteria. As such, OKEx has no intention to delist BSV for the time being.”

Explaining their decision through a blogpost, without naming the token OKEx stated that it would delist/hide tokens that are underperforming. It said, “The token which is hidden will not be shown in the token trading list and charts. OKEx still supports trading of the hidden tokens but they will only be able to be found by entering its ticker in the search field.”

The exchange expressed that it had no desire to get involved in the fracas that is currently brewing. In not so uncertain terms, OKEx said, “As a neutral platform, OKEx respects the efforts of all dedicated teams in advancing the technology of Bitcoin and has no inclination to certain technical directions.”

Not just that, Jack C. Liu, founder of RelayX, officially joined forces with the exchange to launch an exchange that is purely dedicated to BCHSV. The exchange will be called Float SV, a BSV-based exchange.

Commenting on the development, Liu said, “I have learned more from Star than can be explained, and it is great to be back leveraging OK’s trusted and scalable exchange infrastructure with which I am very familiar with. Float SV can count on OK’s track record of being a neutral technology platform.”

While this news will come as solace to BCHSV supporters, it remains to be seen, how long the token may continue, given the worldwide boycott call.
