The Indian cryptocurrency community is in a limbo as it awaits the Supreme Court judgement, which is due to be out by July this year. However, the Indian blockchain community is already doing its bit to put the small but vibrant group, on the map.
Blockchained India, an Indian blockchain community is in Switzerland as a part of the Indian delegation, talking up the ecosystem back home. The group is being represented by Akshay Aggarwal, one of the co-founders.
Aggarwal was invited to Switzerland by the country’s crypto community as a part of bi-lateral Delegation to assess, discuss and understand the blockchain-friendly regulations defined by different bodies working in the Swiss environment, news portal Coingape reported. The news portal stated that during his stay, the co-founder of Blockchained India will meet and talk to Swiss government officials, top Venture Capitalists, startups and independent communities on benefits they’re leveraging from blockchain friendly regulations.
The group, which has been active for a while on the messaging app Telegram, rose to prominence, when they started organizing road shows earlier this year to unify all the stakeholders in the community, including developers, engineers, investors, among other stakeholders.
At the time, Crypto-News India had reported that the roadshows were held in four major Indian cities including, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad. While these were the four major cities, three more will be added to the fray. These mini conventions were to be a run up to the 5-day mega scale festival, India Dapp Fest. The India Dapp fest will be held from June 11-June 15. A blockchain-friendly regulation draft report will be presented at India Dapp Fest 2019.
Previously, Aggarwal had spoken to news portal, Bitcoin.com saying, “We have found Delhi and Bangalore to be the most mature ecosystems. The enthusiasm, especially in Delhi, is another level altogether. Though when you look specifically at enterprise blockchains, Hyderabad comes quite close to Bangalore. This is due to the initiative of the Telangana government to form a blockchain district.”
