The footprint of cryptocurrencies is expanding continuously. We’ve already seen how stock trading app Robinhood, and then Apple Money embraced cryptocurrencies. Now Yahoo! Finance is also doing the same. Starting from today you can trade Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin on Yahoo! Finance, which is being seen as a major sign of improving perception about cryptocurrencies in the corporate world.
Until now Yahoo! Finance users could only monitor the price of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOS and Ethereum Classic on the platform. No trading functionality was available for any of these cryptocurrencies – just price monitoring. Now, however, when trading functionality has been added for BTC, ETH and LTC, there’re hopes that other 3 cryptocurrencies may also become available for trading on the platform very soon.
The move has been welcomed warmly by the global crypto community. Anthony Pompliano, the head of Morgan Creek’s Digital unit (who was in news yesterday for launching a crypto index fund), wrote on Twitter that cryptovirus is spreading. He said:
You can now buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin on Yahoo Finance.
THE VIRUS IS SPREADING ?

Similarly, Litecoin Founder Charlie Lee also hailed the addition of LTC to Yahoo Finance as a welcome step towards mass adoption:

Prior to this, we have also heard in May that Yahoo! Japan is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency exchange in Japan. The company has also acquired stake in BitARG Tokyo exchange for that purpose. Now, this is the second crypto-focused move by this company in less than six months. It will be really interesting to see what company does in the coming days.
At the moment Litecoin, Bitcoin and Ethereum are trading at $61.08, $7,006 and $286.39, respectively.
